hello guys. My name is not CajetaChurro. CajetaChurro is just the name of this artistic project that i'm working on, that being this account. this and every other associated account (blusky, twitter, etc) was an attempt by me to make money out of my art.

Thus far, the results are mostly negative. you see, the plan was to make money out of taking art commissions during the summer so i could have some cash in my pocket when i start college again. This was a simple plan and i was very excited to try it.

I'm about 2 weeks away from going back to school. I've already ran out of pocket money and i haven't made a single penny trying this. I've already ran out of places i could use to advertise my commissions and honestly i'm ready to give up.

as of writing this, people have clicked on the page for the spamton mouse i made 44 times, and downloaded it 5 times.

i got 15 followers on newgrounds, 9 followers on twitter, and 1 non-existent follower on bluesky.

i've made zero commissions, and i've done around 8 free requests thus far (not counting my story thread and my ongoing voxel art thread).

i've sunk 3 dollars into this and i have yet to make back a single one.

I can't advertise my spamton mouse on reddit because for some reason you need a bunch of karma to be allowed to post on r/deltarune.

I tried joining an art commission community on discord but they took forever to get back to me so i could get verified, and they are STILL making me wait again to make sure my commission sheet is in order. i tried joining another one during the meantime but it's still under development.

I can't make a VGEN account because for some reason it says my birthday is invalid, even though i'm 21. turns out the support team is taking a vacation for the summer. and even if i do make an account, i need a code to be allowed to sell. i've entered two giveaways to try and get a code, and i'm still looking for more giveaways to try for. Honestly i have every reason to believe i won't win any of them but i'm still trying.

in short, things are looking rough for poor old churro. i most likely will stop trying all together once college starts since i have a lot going on as is and i know i won't have the time to keep this up if it isn't profitable. i don't want to stop doing this, though. i like making art, and i've always wanted to make someone else's dreams come true. and i have! the requests are proof of this. but sadly, it seems like i'll have to stop posting this once the time comes, which is disheartening.

make no mistake. I'll still be around doing what i do best, but chances are it won't come from this account anymore. i won't end this account, but the project will most likely come to an indefinite hiatus.

i still have a bit of time left before i throw in the towel and call it a day, but honestly things don't bode well right now.

If anything, i'd like to say that i enjoyed making art under this account. i learned quite a bit about the ins and outs of making art online for profit and i like to believe i grew better as an artist. I hope you guys had a fun time like i did during this time and i hope whatever the future hold for us is bright and cheery.
